Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!

I had bigger ambitions for decorations but between a bad case of the crud, limited time, space, and materials, I decided to keep it simple. Soëlie liked helping out, in any case.

Btw, don't you just love our Albanian stockings? :D They look a bit flat and wonky right now, I know. They're hanging from the heating unit, so I didn't stuff them with anything. Each Christmas, they'll bring back lovely memories.

I know; I can't believe how big she is already, either. All I can think of is: How big is she going to be next Christmas????

Merry Christmas to you and M as well.

I'll second stillnotbored - it's amazing how mature Soëlie looks in that last shot. So very self-composed.

Excellent use of materials for the tree. >:-)

It is hard to believe she is only 14 months old.

We had great fun using what we had on hand for the tree. :)

Looks like you had colorful holiday with a cute Santas elf of your own making!

If Soëlie will be like me as a child, she will love to see her baby pictures when she is bigger!

I can't wait until she is big enough to enjoy them. :P

She's such a young lady already! And this at not yet two years! Amazing.

And yes, I do love your Albanian stockings <3

Merry Christmas!!Joyouex Noel!!(sp) and how ever you say it in Albanian. We have decided (Mommom and I) that Albania doesn't really know what its history or cultural background is because it is confused. haha love the tree and the pics. Did you get to go up the mountain?
Dec. 28th, 2011 05:44 pm (UTC)
We didn't go up the mountain. Stayed home and napped instead. :P We'll make it up there before we leave, though.

Soëlie sure does look big, as well as proud and happy beneath the tree she helped make!
Dec. 28th, 2011 05:44 pm (UTC)
*lol* I think she'd be proud to help take it down, too. :P

Cute photos! Is Soelie (I don't seem to have an umlaut on my keyboard, sorry) your daughter? Nice to meet you!

I am behind, but I must continue on with the compliments! :) Add just a bit of height and hair, and Miss S could be in grade school! Brilliant decorations. Perhaps I will get a chance to post mine this week... better late than never and I refuse to give up! Ha!

I'm behind, too. I don't like not having Internet at the house. I KNOW I still owe you that email about getting involved in LJ. Argh. I promise I haven't forgotten.

Good grief she is getting big! So sweet.

I know! 15 months old today. Where did the time go. I'm sure I'll soon be saying "15 years today."

And now I see everyone else's comments, I see I'm not the only one who thinks so.

    Congratulations! What a fantastic achievement.

I know a few people who also read the last chapter first, but I think that would ruin the book for me. I'd rather not read it at all than do that. Occasionally after finishing a really good book,…

I know exactly what you mean. I once knew a woman who would read teh last chapter first to see if she wanted to give a book her time. While I hope to never get to that point, I do now see the value…

When I was younger, I would usually finish a book I started, even if I didn't enjoy it. (Well, if I'd read more than just the first couple of pages, that is. Everyone can try a page or two as a test…
