Where's Soëlie?

Took the little munchkin out for a walk in the stroller (as opposed to the mei tai--click on the link to see what it is dlandon  [you can make one easy-peasy.  J made ours and he's only touched a sewing machine once in his life]), so she could see the world. She's still too small to see much when she is in the mei tai. Had to bundle her up against the cold.  In the end, it was hard to pick her out of the layers. :P

*grin*

It's like a "find the baby" game.

Yeah, I keep saying, "Where's the baby? Where's the baby?" in a silly singsong voice. ;P

I love the quality that black and white photography lends to the textures of fabrics.

*nods* I took a color photo, too, but it just wasn't the same. Much more striking in monotone.

I found the sunglasses and nose! So I bet I've found Soëlie. (It's funny: I wanted to style her name as an LJ username, but I doubt she's blogging just yet.)

What a sweetpea! So many textures and designs in this photo.

Oui, just a tad too young, but she is already getting interested in Daddy's Mac...

Are you sure there's a baby under there? :D

(Thanks for commenting on my review at the FBC!)

GoblinWriter,

I just followed some links to your blog. I'm a longtime fantasy reader and a new Kindle owner looking for cheap--er, afforadable ;)--e-books. Your blog looks very helpful. :)

All J could think about before she was born was whether or not she was going to have his nose. :P For the moment, it doesn't look like it.

Well, he has a very distinctive nose. Very Roman. :-)

I know! I like his nose, but he won't hear it. I guess he was teased growing up--you know how kids are--and didn't want the same for his kid. I wouldn't mind a boy taking after him, but it is true that it isn't exactly a girly nose. :D

Kids are brutal. And there ain't nothing wrong with Julien's nose.

I thought of ET, too. Are we over-mediacized or what?

Mayhap we are, but it is kind of neat to have the same touchstones. :P

LOL!

When we were in NY I had some experience with bundling against snow and ice... and I don't know how you cold-climate mothers ever leave the house!

Sometimes the thought of going out is daunting, I'll admit. I find that the baby carriers are best for when it's really cold; that way she shares my body heat and stays nice and toasty.
