The Video

My first ever video. 18 secs long. Not art. Not high-quality*. But I know a few people who will be happy to see the little Sprout in action, namely her papa, who, sadly, missed these first steps...

___________
* The camera's automatic focus does not work in video mode, and it is impossible to hold a camera in one hand, hold the other hand out to encourage her to walk, AND adjust the focus.

So cute!!!!

I think upon hearing of Soëlie's progress, Raviv decided it was time to accelerate his, and the last 24 hours he has been walking a lot more; he has perfected the unassisted rise to standing, and he walked all across the floor, complete with turns! Hallel is very pleased with this: "'Avivush walking!"

(I have no idea how Hallel started calling Raviv Ravivush ("oosh" being a common affectionate name add-on in Israel, probably influenced by Russian and Yiddish), because we usually call him Raviv, but now he's got us calling him that too...)

How sweet! Big brother knows best.

I think Soëlie is trying to progress by leaps and bounds so her grandparents can enjoy her new milestone before we take her away to Albania for a couple of months.

*applauds* One small step for Soëlie is a wonderful thing :}

I hope your couple of months in Albania are wonderful (and that you have lots of warm winter woolies)

It is so neat to watch her gaining in confidence and ability each day. :)

Re winter woolies, I've been doing inventory in my mind the past two days, wondering what we have and what we need, esp for Sprout.

Oh my god...she is so big!

I was watching other video footage that we have of her, and I couldn't believe how she's grown. Seeing her everyday, it is hard for me to see the changes until I compare her to how she was at birth or even a few months ago.

It's only a matter of time before you look back on this and think, "Man, why did she have to learn how to walk?"

She's impressed with herself at least. She looks so proud every time she crosses the room or sees me watching her. :P
